You absolutely pegged it: Draco just can't see it as a baby yet, or at all. It's not fitting together. Babies are supposed to be rather nice at the very least, and this is just painful for Harry. Right now, though, he hasn't got a choice. In this universe, after a certain point the termination of the pregnancy will certainly result in the death (or long term illness) of the male carrier. All he can see right now is getting Harry through this in one piece.
