I just wanted to say that I appreciate so much to read such a well-reasoned perspective on this issue, and that you've reached a conclusion similar to the one I have reached in regard to gay marriage: religious officials should be allowed to perform whatever marriage ceremonies that are appropriate to or approved by their religious organization, but that the right to legal marriage should have nothing to do with this.
I don't share your religious views, but in a way I find that even more encouraging. It's brilliant to realize that people from very different religious traditions, with different beliefs regarding homosexuality can still agree on this issue!
