You have pegged it exactly! That's definitley what I was going for with Draco in this series. I think it is more than a little farfetched to think that Draco doesn't think Harry loves him. But thinking, recognising that Harry could be better off or just as well off with someone else... That's what I really wanted to get at. I like approaching the boys from a more mature, wiser POV than I usually do. I hope that's coming across. And I love the way you've described them here. ^_^
The interesting thing for me regarding Harry in this series is that you are right: he has ALWAYS been the one who is aware of where he wants things to go. Draco has a goal too, but he lacks the absolute faith to get there right away. Harry is very content.
