Ohhhhh, yes. I am such a soul-smut lover. (soul-smut= term I came up with to describe the soul connection during the relationship and sex that makes it all worthwhile to me). I like the sad fics as well, but it's always so wonderful and fulfilling to see them end up happily, or at least end up headed down that road.
