I really love this story, it's definitely one of the best hurt/comfort fics I've ever read. I love how you wrote the recovery portion of the story - this is probably a weird thing to say - but I have to wonder if you ever had surgery. I know that when I went through an operation (under full anesthesia) waking up was pretty much exactly like what you have written here. Confusing, uncomfortable, and slow. Regardless, I love this story, it's absolutely beautiful.
