A ponderance...

Anybody ever wonder what happened to all of Hermione's Muggle friends after she went to Hogwarts? I mean, she's an 11-year-old girl. She's not just friendless until she meets the wonder-duo, is she?

Hmm.

what i meant was one thats not a boarding school, sorry. i should explain myself! cuz they go when they're 11 - but if u go by who's in which house and say average 10 per house, thats 40 - there can't only be 40 magical babies born a year. so is there a non-boarding school, school? thats what i meant.

but it is a kiddies book and i doubt that she ever intended we look into it in so much depth. :D i think someone else here said that its unlikely that she expected to have a large (massive huge) adult fanbase.

Well, JKR has said she's no great shakes at math, so that's one thing to consider. But also, I thinks he said that the wizarding community is only around 3000 people in the UK, so having only 40 in a given year probably isn't all that off base. I think for magical children it's Hogwarts or nothing; I don't think there are magical day schools.
