How old is it? Because I've had to replace harddrives in three computers once they've gone dead (my family uses me as tech support) and really funky stuff happens when a hard drive decides its time to go (including mysteriously disappearing from the computer even though you're looking right at it).
But yes, take Dell to the cleaners with the new parts. :)
