Yup, English. Have you taught over there?

Are you over there right now? O.o

Nope, but I spent a year (Feb 05-06) teaching English in South Korea. :)

Wow! How was that? What was the biggest cultural difference? And I mean the little things, things you only know when you've lived in another place...

Haha, I lived in London for four months and I could tell you stories about its effect on me...

It was .... interesting. I come from a country of 4 million people and went to one half the size with 10 times the number of people. O_O

Biggest cultural difference: FOOD. Definitely.

And just little things, like bureaucracy, lack of personal space when shopping, little old ladies using elbows to shove you aside and push in front of you in a queue, and their complete and total obsession with looking fan-fucking-tastic ALL THE TIME (and omg if you are even a kg bigger than what they consider a healthy weight you will definitely be informed of this).

But it was a really good trip, and while I wouldn't go back, I never regret going. :D

Hahaha, that's so amusing! I think it would definitely be culture-shock to go from a Western culture to an Eastern culture. They are so different in so many ways!
