I'm still hurting from the second part and even though you made it gradually better in this one, my heart just can't stop aching for them. I guess all of us who have been in a similar situation once can feel with them, can feel their hurt and anger and helplessness and all these feelings that swirl around in your body and make it impossible to breathe. My throat's all closed up because I could see me in either of their positions (as I'm sure a lot of readers can do, too)
You know, you have a talent to capture even the subtlest of feelings with a few words and that's what makes you a great writer and someone who can equally make me very happy and very sad. It's a rare talent, treasure it as much as you can.
