Wow...

I am totally blown away...

A little while ago, there was a fic contest over on What Makes the Desert Beautiful, a Nick/Greg CSI archive I have been posting to. I was nominated for several stories, and I recently found out that I actually got some awards!

*faints*

I'm fairly new to that fandom, so being nominated alone was a real honor. To actually win something... I don't even know what to say. I'm still trying to blink. ^_^

merry_smutmas has been eating up a lot of my on-line time (as well as some writing *g*). But just so you know, another writer and I are working on a longish (hopefully) Nick/Greg fic -- and per your request, it will be plotty (case file, whoot!) with one of the boys in danger. And we'll just leave it at that for now -- but I will give you a heads up when we've started or finished or posted. Heh. :)

:D Oh, things are good and busy! Managed to read a few of the fest fics this weekend though! Ah, yeah--the rentboy fic! I've got to get to that!! Maybe I'll try for something lighter first, to switch it up...been doing mostly angsty type stuff lately...

Take your time. I have three fics I am trying to get ready for Christmas, so I won't have time to do much else. Whenever you feel like writing the rentboy, go for it. ^_^

We are spending the holiday at home, which, frankly, is a relief. All of our family lives in other states (except for my great aunt and and uncle), so visiting them can be hectic. You?

Heh, all of our family lives in other states too--so that's where we'll be going. :) We're leaving on Friday, and you know, I'm kinda tired of this 'working at a job' thing, so it'll be nice. :D

I'm actually working on the rentboy fic right now--managed to write a little during downtime today and yesterday! *is excited*

Hey, you should be a photographer, dear. Honest, those shots are very picturesque. I especially love the angle on the first, and the darkness with the candles on the second. Something so... poignant about it.

You deserve every award you get, and more. You are a fantastic writer. I'm so happy for you! Those CSI'ers have probably never read such well-written fics!

Oh, there are a lot of talented writers in that fandom. I have been so enamored of HP that I forgot that other fandoms are just as complex and convoluted... It's so nice to see another community like ours...

Girl, why didn't you email me, I've been such a bad friend lately. Before Christmas I was so busy baking for two weekends, then my husband sent me to the fucking mall of all places, on the Thursday and Friday before Christmas, silly silly man, this is why I shop on-line. Had to get his BIL, Dad, and Mom their gifts, (QVC, Amazom, Best Buy, ebay, Toyrus), anything. Then I finally got that damned video done, anyway, Christmas Eve night after we got back from my parents, we were supposed to go to Birmingham Christmas Day to spend it with my In-laws, since they moved closer our first time, still wasn't looking forward to it, that's a whole other story. So, Jacob's eyes are leaking yellow pussy crap, great, pink eye was going around the school the three days he made it before Christmas, so we didn't have to go. But there are the cutest pics of him Here also the vid in question I worked for a month on, and anyway. Yesterday I take him in even though his eyes look better, but double ear infection, bad, pussing out, that bad, and clogging his sinuses, and get this, coming out his eyes, yuck. That was his 13th ear infection, and WIlliam went to grandma's yesterday for two nights, also my dad's birthday, and Tre's also sick, and my mom calls me today, WIlliam's eyes are red, so go to the doc, again just like the old days when Jacob was a toddler, but just a red throat, but amoxilcil anyway.
