Nor does old Dumbleydor need an invisibility cloak to wander the halls unseen, yeah?
Oh, that's a perfect way to express it. So true: Dumbledore always knows what's happening in his school. I kind of think of Hogwarts as an extension of Dumbledore's self. He has a presence everywhere in it; you can feel it so well in book 5 when Umbridge gets him booted. It's like the school just isn't... complete anymore.
How else could it be for a boy who was raised to hate and feel contempt for everything Harry has been taught to believe in? ... Imagine the humiliation for Malfoy of all people, at eleven, being spurned by a Muggle loving “scar head.”
How true, again. It must have driven him nuts, wondering how on earth Harry Potter, the one who should have been friends with him, managed to dismiss him so completely. And Draco... you know, that refused handshake did it all. because of course Draco is spoiled, having grown up the way he has. He said the wrong thing (but it made sense to him) and Harry answered back with the anger it roused, and the rest was history. But if it had gone a little differently... who knows?
Thanks for another thoughtful, wonderful review. I love how deeply you go into my stories. It really makes me feel good. *hugs*
