True story though, what I put in the zombie movie category even though I never saw one EVER in my LIFE. (all I know about zombies comes from scooby doo and half blood prince) haha!
Was walking down the street here with
Yep, I thwapped a zombie.
He apologised sheepishly and lunged away.
That was so random and fun.

Or they could screw it up royally. *rolls eyes* ^___^
Hahaha, that's a CRAZY story! *cackles* Was there any discernible reason why they were dressed as zombies?
At least you got a nice zombie. ^_~

I was actually thinking about the different manifestations of zombies and zombie theory in horror films, and how the theory has morphed over the decades (I took a lot of classes in college on Horror Theory. A fascinating subject!). I was initially going to write something up on that genre morphology and the differences between various species of zombie in film, and then I got to thinking that I could use the info to make a fun quiz for everyone. *snickers*

Since I wasn't ask the very last question when I took it, I'll answer it here for fun. My favorite zombie movie..well I don't have a specific one since I enjoy all zombie movies that I've seen so far and it's really hard to choose, so I'll choose the top two which are Night of the Living Dead and Shaun of the Dead. The first changed zombie movie history and the second made parody of all of those movies and both are just great movies. ^_^
I still say that there needs to be a zombie musical with some dancing zombie penguins in it :-P

And Shaun... Oh, Shaun, how do I love thee? ♥
And I agree: Zombie Penguins, FULL SPEED AHEAD!

And on a different note, every time I see "SUPER RU!!!" in your words of wisdom, it makes me sing in my head "It's super ru, supper ru, it's super ru!!!" with fanfare and trumpet. It inevitably makes me think of a kangaroo and then Roo, the baby kangaroo in Winnie the Pooh. :-P

It is nice to see that the fandom can come together over something, though, regardless of ship-wars and the like. ^_^ Makes my little heart happy.

I think you should definitely watch Shaun of the Dead. But I also think you need to watch Night of the Living Dead and the original Dawn of the Dead before you watch Shaun, because Shaun is a parody of those two in many ways, and the jokes will be much funnier if you are familiar with zombie theory of the 60s and 70s. ^__^ I could go on for hours about this...

I still maintain that you gotta read WWZ because it's damn awesome, even if you don't subscribe much to the idea of some kind of zombie virus/infection. Dude, I couldn't look at a crowded freeway in quite the same way ever again.
But one zombie movie I do love (well, besides Shaun of the Dead) is the original Dawn of the Dead. Got the special edition dvd boxset of that one and the director's cut (I think that was what it was) was seriously the best of the lot (which included several different versions). I still haven't watched 28 Days Later...and I think it'd scare mehhhhh! *clings*
