i'd be nervous, too, lol!! how many miles is the swim?

that doesn't seem that far...emphasis on "seem". how many laps would that be in a pool?

sadly, i have to go the library now :(. but i should be back in an hour or so, and maybe you'll still be around them...

That calculates to around 108 lengths of a normal pool, 54 lengths of an Olympic-sized pool. That's... 2700 yards. My favorite swim in high school was the 500 Freestyle, which was twenty laps and took me about 7.5 minutes when I was at my peak. I've timed a mile and a half in the pool at about 45 minutes, give or take, so I am guessing 50 to an hour in the ocean.

omg, i would die. DIE! it would probably take me a year to be able to swim that much in one go.

Well, I am comforted by the fact that the kayakers will give us an hour and fifteen minutes tops before they grab us and pull us in. *laughs*

that is good news. they seem rather diligent about having people stand by for emergencies. i actually meant it would take me a year of training to be able to swim that distance, but even with that i'd be super slow.

good luck for tomorrow ♥! oh, also, i got your card today!! it's a very cute card :).

Oh! Hahaha, sorry... Training does take a while. I think I started about... four months ago? I believe you could do it faster, like in two months, but you'd have to work hard and be very diligent about it...

Yay! Card! ♥ *coming online*
