I can See what you say about Old Magic and its amorality. We are sometimes wrapped up about how Love should be but it is V. difficult to define Love, which is big philosophical question since Plato and before. When trying to define it we say more about morality and the qualities we like about Emotion but yes it must acknowledged that Love is part of culture but beyond it. In a simplistic way I see this Magic as more Feminine thinking about the Fertility Goddess and Creation and paganism and needs and desires and Less in Order and the Masculine of order and duty and the domestication of Nature and all this. Your story has so many layers I feel like reading it is a bit like excavation.

This chapter was wonderful and v. necessary, it is only my OTP ship obsession that protests. :^}
