Heyyyyyy all! Back to good ol' SC. Ashland was muy fun. I had a killer-long train ride, unfortunately... ended up being about three hours late, but I did not miss my first play. It was The Oedipus Complex, and it melded Freudian theory with the play Oedipus Rex by Sophocles. Funny at times (when Freud was analyzing Oedipus on the couch) and eerie at others (the Chorus looked like pall-bearers, and the prominence of red flowed over the black and white stage like blood). I got to see Henry VI parts 2 and 3. Very cool. The precursor to my favorite Shakespeare play of all time: Richard III. Blood, death, mayhem, betrayal, and murder... all the best a Shakespearean history play has to offer. Then on Sunday, we got to tour the backstage area and the inner workings of the company. Lovely, lovely. Makes me want to work there for a season as a crew member or something.

Hello, [livejournal.com profile] lilysunshine1, [livejournal.com profile] elfflame, [livejournal.com profile] evilkittymeow, and [livejournal.com profile] spacetweenears! I did have fun, I have returned, and I love you guys!

Next entry has a story in it. Back to the good ol' HP fanfic buzz. It may be sporadic, as I am having trouble with my compy, still. Just installed a new harddrive, but now I have to go through the rigamarole of hooking up to the internet at school. Patience, Ru... *meditates*

Welcome back, Rerun!

It sounds like you had a really good time. I can see how The Oedipus Complex would be amusing, I really enjoyed reading Oedipus Rex. I haven't read Richard III, but a lot of people have recommended it. Anyway, glad you had a good time!!

*glomps Lilo*

Good to be back! I just had to have my dose of the immortal bard. He is marvelous, especially with the histories. All that trial and angst... and we all know Rerun likes angst...

And yes! See Richard III! Richard is so EVIL and yet... the audience cannot help but adore him. I was grinning like a maniac during his speeches in Henry VI. And Queen Margaret... *wipes brow* Damn, she is AWESOME.

Oooh! You got to see plays? GAH! I'm jealous. I wish I got to see more plays but I never seem to find the time. Ah well.

I'm glad you had fun! Woohah.

I love plays. Theatre in general, and most kinds of it, at that. I am a lover of musicals, comedies, dramas, and even the odd horror play (of which I have seen two that genuinely frightened me). And Shakespeare... well, wow. The dude could WRITE, whoever he was.

Hahaha, compy lab, huh? Yeah, I have been spending much time there because my laptop is on the fritz. I am like that too, always looking around fervently to see if anyone is watching me get my kicks with H/D fic. Oh well.
