Arggghhhh!!!
Oct. 7th, 2004 03:12 pmHad the worst day yesterday. It started out alright, except for the fact that I had my writing picked apart by my classmates and that always drains me mentally. I was okay... until I was late for my next class. I got there in time to take a quiz... only to discover that in my slacker-ness, I had not studied the correct information! That did it. Keeled me. I was bummed for the rest of the evening. I went over to Office Max to drop off a package containing a broken harddrive (Dell wants it back, or they charge me for the new one), and ended up waiting for 45 minutes so I could get the truck driver guy to sign for it. This is so that if it gets lost in the mail (and knowing my luck, that is sure to happen), they can't charge me, as it was obviously no longer my responsibility. Then, back home, Mum called, and I love hearing from her, but I was royally depressed at the time. However, she was WONDERFUL, as usual, allowing me to gripe and complain and be annoyed about everything, and then comforting me. Afterward, it was off to dinner, where I subsequently tore apart the beginning of a novella I had written, and then back home to write an essay that DID NOT WANT TO MANIFEST ITSELF ON PAPER.
I nearly tore my hair out. But then...
Sparks called! I love Sparks. She was fretting about a writing assignment, and it was just what I needed to get out of my funk. Chatting and laughing and helping each other with writing was perfect medicine. She had to venture under her bed for food and computer-type things several times -- yes, I know, WHY? you might ask but don't, because it was quite amusing to hear her battle the evil demons that reside under her bed. Anyway, I was in a MUCH better mood after getting off the phone. Just in time to check over that disagreeable paper and go to sleep.
So. Immense luv for Sparks. Sparks, I wish you all that lost writing time you've been craving! *battles demons under bed so Sparks can devote time to other things*
