Rule change...

Alright. I have been pondering due to some recent events, and I have come to a decision I think you should all know about. And this applies to everyone on my f-list (except you, Colin, 'cause you don't read my slash, poor boy... ^_^)

As you know, I write a ton of H/D slash, in all sorts of ratings: G to NC-17. The thing is, I have only recently realized that I don't feel comfortable with my higher rated fics being read by people under the age of 17. This is nothing about anyone in particular; this is a personal choice I have made, as the writer.

So. Here's the thing: I DO NOT WANT TO DEFRIEND ANYONE. I love you all. Your reviews, your chats, your kind words and wonderful presence make me incredibly happy all the time, and I thank you for it. I don't want to lose any of you. Whether you poke around in my RL entries or are just here for the fic does not matter. LJ is a free place and I don't want to cut anyone off.

But I know a few of you are not yet 17. So I have come to the conclusion that filtering for some of my fics is in order. IMPORTANT: It will only be the harder R and NC-17 ones, and I will not be filtering friends for another week at least. I know some of you are very close to the magical age of 17 (believe me, not all that different from 16, but that's not the point), so close you can taste it. And I have a message for each of these people (the ones I am aware of):

I will not be filtering for another week, and the only stories I will be filtering are the hard R and NC-17 ones at this point, of which there are not many. I will post a list in a day or so. You may also want to check out my info page because I have posted general rules for my lj there.
