That 10-things meme with a twist...
Feb. 26th, 2005 04:51 pm"This is a Christian house! There'll be none of that hippety-hop talk here!"
I just watched The Ladykillers. *snerk* I LOVE Tom Hanks. We share a birthday! *squee!* but he was so good in that movie. Everyone was good. It was extremely amusing to watch them bungle it all up.
Speaking of movie quotes, there were two quotes left unanswered in my recent movie meme. One is a pretty obscure film and the quote is not all that telling, but the other, I thought, was kind of a cult classic. Anyway. Here are the answers:
11) "And where do you live, Simon?"
"I live in the weak and the wounded... Doc."
This one is from a rather wonderful horror film called Session 9. Not a huge film by any means, more of a sleeper that went right under peoples' noses... It's about a group of guys who are hired to get the asbestos out of an abandoned asylum. Quite creepy, especially when you get to what the title means...
12) "We did everything just the way grownups would've. Why didn't it work?"
And this one? From the newer version of Lord of the Flies. That's Piggy talking there. One of my favorite movies: saw it when I was about... 12, and the story really stuck with me, leading me to read the book (now my favorite book ever).
( Okay, 'cause everybody's doing it... 10 things )
