And then Harry goes and does something Draco fights so much against, only to find (and usually belatedly) that it was exactly what he wanted, what he needed
Oh, EXACTLY! Draco is always so quick to burst, to fire up about everything... if he just took the time to think for a bit, he would realize that there are a lot of things he needs that he is denying himself, or losing.
Because he's in essence just admitted to Draco that in a way, he's condemning him to danger, to not knowing what will happen to him, to a life as a pawn of sorts.
A perfect reading, again. This is what I wanted to come across. I love that it made you mad and sympathetic at the same time. Lucius is not only chill and ice. He has other parts to himself, he just keeps them buried.
Oh god, how did I miss this before? These two lines are just amazing. The hint that the house seems more than just a house, like it's Lucius' house in more than just ownership. The image of the blood and the sound, and the changing! Like the whole world would remake itself if Draco were to utter those two tiny syllables in that house.
(Maybe you missed it because I reworded it *cringe* :) ) And I LOVE this bit about the house being alive, and belonging to Lucius, like a spy. Lovely. Hadn't intended that but I LOVE it. So creepy.
The end, though, just killed me. Because I'm so afraid of this one, Rerun. It can go so many places that aren't happy, aren't happy at all.
I am not saying a thing. (but you know you will prolly beta so... ;>)
THANK YOU MUFFIN NOSE!!! I love your reviews, heart and soul.
