I can't really explain why, but let me try. It's probably because of my belief that it can happen in real life, though I've never had any firsthand experience on the matter. I mean, wouldn't raw emotion be that tangible as well?
I am SO intrigued by that idea, and I haven't heard it stated quite like that until now. I think there is a lot more to the idea of auras and emotional "touches" than people give credit for. We've kind of left our instinct by the wayside as we plow into "civilization" and I think a lot of the reason magic appeals to us is just that: getting back to when it took more than scientific proof to figure things out, to get things done.
