Oh man, I am really laughing right now. You know, wank wars are so fun to read. And I knew that, but I'll say it again. WANK WARS ARE SO FUN TO READ.

The best part is when the people do exactly what they've accused the other person of doing.

*LAUGHS*

I'd pretend that I have no clue what you're talking about...but being in this fandom, that's a bit difficult. Anywho, yes, I fully agree with you.

The hypocrasy of everyone involved astounds me. Especially the "arguing" tactics of a few of those involved. I think what gets me the most is that these people are (long) out of High School. I don't mean to claim that I'm above all that...but hell, why not? I'm above all that. *shrugs* I don't understand the need to wank. But I realize that I am in the minority with that opinion.

WTF?

Where can I get a front row seat to the fireworks? What can I say, I may not wank, but I love to watch when others do. I'm nosey, and I freely admit it. If you're gonna post something that ambiguous, linkage would be good... :-) Hugs you! We're glad you're okay, and hope things at work settle down very very soon so's you don't stress out. That's never a good thing.

You know, [livejournal.com profile] emcue pointed out today that wank happens in real life too. One person is always saying something catty and 12 years old about another person, go to any office that is mostly women and you'll see it. I don't know if men do it or not. I think they feel like what's the point.

Anyhow, it is of the stupid.

Hey hey!! I'm still reading the essay. I think whoever could have made it less offensive (calling H/Hr shippers'motherfuckers might have been a tacticall error ^^) and it's a bit long. We get it, really.

And at some point he speaks... let me see, um... "The trio is composed of intricate characters, and each have the capacity for more than tragic, misbegotten, unfounded love and righteous anger". That. What do you think of that, and wanna discuss Harry Potter as a book?

*mutters* Intrincate characters? what has he been smoking?

The essay was very good. I think the arguments speak for themselves, in such a way the H/Hr shippers, besides being pissed, could do nothing to shoot it down. Still, the people involved took it a bit too seriously to be much fun. I think we ought to convert them to boy sex ^_~

And rant away! Even if my strong suit are movies, I can analize books worth something, and it's always interesting to listen to someone that knows what she is doing. I like to take things appart a bit too much, so if you go at it by the pice, all the better for me ^_^

And the characters... well, I like Harry Potter, but by now Harry has grown quite a bit and his perspective hasn't changed that much since he was 11. His view of the world is so simple that I'm left craving a bit of complot, a bit of lies and deceit, power struggles and politics. And I'm feeling the lack of a brilliant bad guy, too. It's fun, but, there's too many empty spaces, and that's probably why so many good fanfickers are into this fandom; they have a lot of space to move around.

Well... that. Start with your analissis and I'll tell you what I think. Oh!! And I have to confess I haven't finished OotP #^^# It got here once I had been severely spoiled (I had to wait for the spanish version, released about 6-8 months after the english one), then I had to wait until it blew over, because I wasn't going to pay a small fortune for it and then... well ^^ I bought it bout' 5 months ago, but the Pendragon Cicle and Isaac Asimov I loove just a bit more.
