Let's see... I hae written her in this fic (snobbish, protective mom!Narcissa), and a marriage of convenience to Lucius (in Verisimilitude, which is Lucius/Severus), and as the broken mother and wife of men who are being pulled from her for a cause she no longer cares about (Darker Magic). I've never shown her as going against Lucius, really. But it seems like there are many sides to her charcater. THIS is what I am LOVING about book 6: it is granting my wish to see what drives the Malfoys, why they do what they do, and what emotions lie behind it.
