No worries, Ru. The foreign bits are pretty integral to both stories. The foreign bits are not critical to every element of the three or four stories that make up the paradigm world but two or three plot critical elements happen in Italy, certainly, that carry throughout the story and the US bits...are important, but not as critical. In TiP (heee!), Brazil is crucial.
