Yeah, thinking about it now, I can definitely see where they might seem out of character during this argument. I figure it's been some years (they are grown up now, and away from Hogwarts), and they have drifted quite a bit, changed quite a bit. The two of them always take on slightly different personas and characteristics for me, depending on which fic I am writing, and I love hearing input from readers about what works and what might not work.
