HAPPY BOXING DAY!!!!

So, now I get to see what happens to me when I am not writing and it is the Christmas season...

1) Play with my family's adorable new puppy. He goes by Loki, but he has at least four nicknames: Ginger (because of his color), Kitsune (Japanese for "fox", because of his ears), Yoda (ears again), and the ever lovable Piddles (and if you can't figure this one out I'm not going to tell you). That last one was my choice.

2) FINALLY watch my Two Towers EE, which I have had for AGES but have been unable to watch for various reasons. And I got the Return of the King EE for Christmas so it will just be a big barrel of fun. DAMN I love Lord of the Rings. And Two Towers works for me, seeing as I am a Faramir fan. That was one of my main gripes with the movie trilogy: THEY DID NOT PUT IN THE PART ABOUT EOWYN AND FARAMIR AT THE VERY END!!! *fumes* But hopefully it will be in RotK EE. *crosses fingers* Either way, yay for EE!

3) READ FIC. OMGNOWAY.

4) Finish Angel of Darkness by Caleb Carr.

5) Okay, background info first: due to my hours and hours spent writing on the computer these last nine days, my little sister has been trying to get me off of it. Lately this has meant anticipating my intent to go write and racing me to the computer chair so I cannot sit down. Good news: I'm faster and stronger than a ten-year-old. Bad news: Last night I forgot about the new rug in the comp room, which slides all over the place. SO. Sis sees me going to check my email. She runs. I run. I get there first. I step on the rug. In socks. I slip. Naturally I grab for the nearest thing, which is the swinging door on the desk. I jam the heel of my hand right into the corner. I fall. The door flies open. I slam my left shoulder right into THE VERY SAME CORNER. HARD. Seconds later I am writhing and cursing on the ground. So my shoulder hurts like a bitch right now, as does my hand. But the rug is no longer there. ^_^

So yay! Maybe writing is better for me. Safer and all that. ;> Sorry for spamming your f-lists.

Yeah, I liked the Alienist. The characters in his books are what drives me. I thought the ending of that one was a little bit of a cop-out, but I am enjoying Angel of Darkness so far...
