Okay! Time for my last post tonight... cause I post so many times a day... ;>
First off, a fic rec.
lilysunshine1 has updated Hit the Floor. You can find chapter eight HERE, as well as a link to the other seven chapters if you haven't read them yet. SLASH, H/D, Rated R (strong language, violence, sexual situations)
...
...
And now, an update on my own fic.
I've just posted chapter six of The Fourth Unforgivable over on FictionAlley. Rated PG-13... heavy shameless innuendo prevails.
Summary: It's the sixth year at Hogwarts and He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named has used That-Which-Will-Not-Be-Named... for reasons that are better left unspoken! Join Harry and Draco as they valiantly try to save the day, and just end up digging themselves in deeper. Trophies, bratwurst, and mud, oh my!
**Now, six chapters in, we also have Voldemort's therapy session, Lockhart in a strait-jacket, and, lo-and-behold-it's-no-surprise-here, some developing H/D! Joy of joys!
...
...
Alright! And now, another movie I saw. Party Monster, with Seth Green and Macauley Culkin. First off, it was lovely to see Mr. Culkin again. Second, while it took me some time to get used to the flamboyant personalities of the main duo (I felt it was really just overacted at first), the characters really grew on me and I ended up really liking them. It's a dark movie: drugs, murder, WEIRD (but wonderful) costumes... and Dylan McDermott as the intimidating club owner.
It's about a kid (Culkin) who comes to New York, ingratiates himself with the local partier-extraordinaire (Green), and proceeds to take over the party scene, turning it into a bash-a-night and a huge drug-ring. Actually, it's a rather good film, telling the main character's descent into hopeless drug-binge-ing. Marilyn Manson makes a brief but memorable appearance. Based on a true story. I may have to go get the book ("Disco Bloodbath" by James St. James).
Anyway. I recommend it. It's quirky and fast-paced... kind of reminds me of Strictly Ballroom in some ways, believe it or not. BUT... not an altogether happy film.
Sooooo... nighty night all!

Date: 2004-08-18 11:15 pm (UTC)From:2. I'm not even halfway done the first chapter of The Fourth Unforgivable and I've laughed out loud at least 4 times. Hubby wants to know why I'm laughing at 2 in the morning. Weasley-mini! I love it.

Date: 2004-08-19 06:10 am (UTC)From:The whole bratwurst thing is so very funny, and I love them turning Hermione back! 'Malfoy's a virgin?' Ha! The mucking and Voldie in the trophy room and oh the insults! Woke Hubby up more than once between you and storge_space...he made me put the laptop away and finish it all this morning.
Next chapter soon, I hope?

But it may be a month or so. I am trying really hard to get the next chapter of my other HP chapter fic up and running because I haven't been paying enough attention to it lately and I miss writing in that universe. H/D again, of course, and much less flippant. But yes.
Next chapter: Draco does a little research on Harry to find out the best way to court him.
Thanky ou for the stellar review! I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself. Silly husbands... they don't know how important it is to read HP fanfic. ;>

Heh, yes. I'm pretty proud of him though, he's surprisingly okay with the fact that his wife reads and writes gay porn about as of now underage fictional characters who are played by kids almost a decade younger than me. He rocks. :)

Date: 2004-08-19 01:45 pm (UTC)From:Yeah, I really like Baz Luhrman's films. He has such a spunky weird style, almost surreal. I especially liked his rendition of Romeo+Juliet. Very colorful and active. Just what it needed.
