Okay, so I'm not even sure if this is an issue, but I saw a bud offer this, and I am wondering if anyone wants to see my commentary on a fic I have written. I am getting set for Simply Charming pt. 3, and I thought I might throw this out there in the meantime.

Um. I think a poll might be the best way to do this. So below I have a list of stories I am willing to comment on. They are all H/D, various ratings, and the fics themselves can be found here.

I will write commentary on the most-selected one. And we'll see how it goes from there.

Oh, totally. You know, I have done something like that. I do Rec Days from time to time where I pick a writer and focus on some of their stuff and what I liked about it. I should do that again. Kind of fell out of the habit when I moved back home...

i picked "more than enough" because i don't think we've ever talked about it, whereas i feel we've talked about most other stories. at first i wanted to pick "aftermath", but i already know things about the writing process and your thoughts about the story :)

i just re-read "more than enough" and good god, it was just as heartbreaking as reading it the first time.

Oh goodness, I love you. That remains one of my favorites. Hmm, I feel a little weird talking about my own fics this way, but in all honesty, I think every author has favorites of his or her own fics, and it makes sense for them to want to discuss it.

of course every author has favorites. i certainly have mine :). i imagine that this story must have taken a long time, or maybe that's just because i am not sure i could write something like this [just working out all the background stuff must have taken a while]. there's this tension in it...this feeling of being constrained, which obviously makes sense given the topic. hmm, yes, i def. want to hear more about this!

I certainly have questions for you with your fic. Like the whole background of Harry and Draco and whatever spell it was that got Draco preggers has me so curious. And what their relationship was like before that.

oh, good questions! all things i haven't quite figured out yet....well, the spell i sort of have. draco explains it to remus in the first part. i'm not sure i'll go into more depth on that, but who knows? as for the other question, it's odd, i hadn't thought about that before. i have a feeling that their relationship had just gotten more serious right before draco got pregnant--maybe they moved in with each other like a month or two before? once they find out about the pregnancy, harry would start feeling responsible for draco in a way he hadn't before [which might piss draco off at first]. hmmm. does that make sense?

Oh, it absolutely makes sense. Especially the part about Draco being pissed off, because that's how I see Draco: very independent on the outside, and very unused to people trying to love him. PLUS, he's a git sometimes. He would be pissy about Harry trying to do things for him. ^_^

I remember the spell explanation. And I remember liking how much you kept me in the dark at first, gradually letting the answers to my questions manifest themselves as the fic progressed.

yes. it would annoy the hell out of draco if harry suddenly started doting on him on top of having to deal with being pregnant, of all things. but after a while, he probably starts appreciating it, especially once they are on the run and everything gets difficult and tiresome for draco.

I like that too. I mean, I don't mean to do some of the things people interpret from my writing, but sometimes I take it as a sign of a well-crafted story: when everything ends up coming together, you know you've got something that works.

oh my god. i just went through and read most of them. and i'm sitting here with tears and painful thudding in my chest and a sense of awe for you. your writing is simply beautiful and so full of emotions that i'm just gonna have to sit here for a bit and have a good cry.

99% of them are on my lj (memories link in the post above)... the only one that's missing can be found here. But the H/D is much more to the side in this one: this fic is mroe about Hr/R. But I hope you lilke it! I will be archiving it here eventually. I was actually just thinking about that missing story the other day...
