Grrr... Stress fracture.

In.

Right.

Foot.

Everyone go tell fireelemental79 that it is NOT her fault.

We went dancing last Saturday. Eventful things that happened:

1) Weird guy macking on our other friend to the point where he got a bit too excited *ahem* dancing with her and we started keeping an eye out for him and circling the wagons (as Fire so nicely termed it) whenever he got too close.

2) Stripper dude dancing with Fire and me. Not while he was stripping. Hmm. Not entirely sure how to feel about that, seeing as the last strippers I saw decided that a lapdance would be prime time to lick the girls getting the lapdance. *shudder* But this guy was sweet.

3) Two wackos hitting on me and that other friend we were protecting outside. Avoiding eye contact seemed to be the order of the night.

4) Apparently there was a period where the fracture occurred, though I have no knowledge of how or when that took place. Suffice it to say it accompanied me home and is still visiting. ^_^

Results? Pain meds making me sleepy, annoyances at work due to foot pain, and a little more time than usual for writing/beta-ing.

ALSO: posting a story that has somehow not made it up here previously. Not re-written or revised, and not exactly H/D-centric, but they are in there... Next post.

Nope. No healage. Getting better I hope, but it's hard to tell when I am on painkillers all the time.

In my defense, ahem, I was a teensy bit drunk a the time. So trying to wax on about the events of that night is difficult as they are fuzzy. Icky guy and the circling yes. "Take Me Out" and apparently better moves than ever before, yay me! Stripper trying to dance with me, backing away quickly, a goofy, "dude, you too badass for me" grin on my drunk face, watching him truck on over to R-ster, continuing to learn how to dance. Bathroom line. Much sweat. Then we left. That is what I remember and it's all sort of blurry and flashy from the strobes. I was only going to drink my one Long Island, but got handed another made up concoction because R-ster's friend "doesn't like the taste of alcohol" and whatever was in that, it packed a wallop and I'm surprised I could dance at all, because truthfully, I was figuring I would fall down. Okay, there, is that better?

Been there, done that, my friend!! ridicu_liz once picked me up from the side of the road, walking down the mountain from the Dave Matthews Band concert. Apparently, I managed to find the dip/gutter thingy at the side of the road and took out out my ankle. During 4th of July weekend. Yeah. I still hear about it. Often. In a most mocking tone.

I think the strippers would be fine and enjoyable if they were a) stripping, b) stripping WELL, and c) NOT LICKING THE PEOPLE THEY WERE STRIPPING FOR. *shudders* Not appropriate at ALL.
