Oh man, I am really laughing right now. You know, wank wars are so fun to read. And I knew that, but I'll say it again. WANK WARS ARE SO FUN TO READ.

The best part is when the people do exactly what they've accused the other person of doing.

*LAUGHS*

Hey hey!! I'm still reading the essay. I think whoever could have made it less offensive (calling H/Hr shippers'motherfuckers might have been a tacticall error ^^) and it's a bit long. We get it, really.

And at some point he speaks... let me see, um... "The trio is composed of intricate characters, and each have the capacity for more than tragic, misbegotten, unfounded love and righteous anger". That. What do you think of that, and wanna discuss Harry Potter as a book?

*mutters* Intrincate characters? what has he been smoking?

I like the essay, mostly because it was well put together. Sign of a good convincing argument... being able to back it up. So right away that got my attention.

I would love to discuss HP as a book. Be aware that I am much too interested in it as a lit major and I tend to go off a lot though. Just a warning. ^_~

And I agree: the characters could certainly be a lot more intricate. Right now I have seen little that makes me think they will be any more than the stereotypical sorts of characters... which is not to say that it is BAD to be that way. Certainly not. They are very entertaining characters, and they mesh well together and respond to each other very believably. The fifth book has started to make me hope that maybe JK will be giving more depth to each character, but I will have to wait and see.
