Oh dear.

I finally downloaded the right codec so I could watch my anime again.

~The X/1999 that I didn't finish.
~The Evangelion that I didn't finish.
~The Ai no Kusabi that I didn't finish.
~The Haibane Renmei that I never started.
~The Gravi that my lil sis wants to watch.
~The Kenshin video I made.
~The other vids I haven't seen in months.
~Plus the Witch Hunter Robin, Wolf's Rain, FAKE, Kenshin, Vampire Hunter D, Saishuuheiki Kanojo (*SOB!*), Full Metal Panic, and Hellsing that I would want to watch again. Except for Saishuuheiki. I don't want to slit my wrists.

It's a good thing I don't have Inuyasha (100+ eps) or Sailor Moon (300 eps).

*sigh*

I am never going to have time for fic again.

Ooh, more codecs? Really??? GAH!!!

*has been going into anime withdrawal lately*

VLC is a media player that automatically updates its own codecs, and is open source and free, and very non-intrusive.

*is intrigued* I may have to try that...

Oooh. Ai no Kusabi is something I found about the same time I started getting into Lucius/Harry. Very similar dynamic. :D And Iason makes me drool.

Iason is Super-Seme. Everyone aspires to be him. Good lord. That man is hawt.

He and Lucius were separated at birth, I think. ;D

After reading the Gravi books, I really enjoyed the anime although Shuichi's voice did grate after a while. Now I can't stop humming the bloody sountrack. I say humming because I haven't got a clue what they're singing about except the odd line of English.

I don't suppose you have any links to Witch Hunter Robin? I've got Angel Sanctuary if you haven't seen that - both mange & anime.

The soundtrack to Gravi IS good, isn't it? I loved it from minute one. And that was one of the first things the people who I recced it to said as well.

Sadly, all the anime I am talking about is on computer disc. I got it off of Kazaa, but I have no idea if it is still there. I know they try to respect the copyright stuff when it is licensed, finally...

Angel Sanctuary was recced to me once, and then given a sort of... unfavorable review. What's it about?

This link will explain Angel Sanctuary better than I can :

One of the pleasures of the manga is the beautiful art work.

I think my fav Gravi track is the one they use for the credits at the end of each episode.

Thanks for the link.

Have you read/seen X/1999? It's done by CLAMP, and the artwork is stunning.

I like that song too.

Have you read/seen X/1999?

No I haven't. is that the author/s of Chobits?

Date: 2006-02-11 12:34 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] rurounihime.livejournal.com
I do believe so. The art certainly looks similar.

Yes it is. They're both by CLAMP.

Except that X/1999 is Shoujo manga and Chobits is Shounen manga.

Chobits' storyline is awesome, whereas X...the plot...crawls...at a rate of...one sentence...every four pages...*cries*

Date: 2006-03-05 01:28 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] rurounihime.livejournal.com
Hahaha, yes, I remember that. It's almost worth it to just see the X movie, so that the plot goes faster. But I do so love the artwork, and the characters, and the sad, sad story. It's so SAD. *weeps*

I could never get into Chobits. The plot may move faster, but it's so predictable.

But the manga artwork is much much better than the movie!

I hate Magic Knight Rayearth the anime...the artwork's so much worse than the manga.

Well yeah, Chobits...umm...did you finish it? It gets more plot-ty later on. But yeah, once you understand the way CLAMP's mind works, _all_ their mangas have predictable plot.

Date: 2006-03-05 10:20 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] rurounihime.livejournal.com
Yeah, there was no finishing of Chobits on my end. It just isn't really the type of anime that appeals to me, apparently. I couldn't get myself interested.

The first season of Rayearth certainly sucked. There were several characters I liked enough to keep me watching, but really, I wanted to kill Mokona. And I wanted to smack them all. Some of that probably had to do with the fact that I watched it in English, I think. *rolls eyes at own stupidity*

I happen to own all but the last disk of hiabane renmai and all of season four of sailor moon if you wanna borrow them. I'm also thinking about getting Full Metal Panic in the box set, since i like it so much, but i dunno about that...

Date: 2006-02-05 10:18 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] rurounihime.livejournal.com
Oh, I love FMP... Gaw, I can't believe how much I liked that show. It is so funny...

How much of Haibane did you give me before? I think I have... somewhere around 26 eps or something. Is there more?

Date: 2006-02-03 02:29 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] ravenpan.livejournal.com
*wants to hack and steal all that... 'cept she doesn't know how! LOL*

Sorry, love! All of it is copied to disc, not on my comp. *mope*

*pouts* ah well. *chuckle*
