heh, i left that comment last night :). i saw your post pretty much right after you posted it so i thought you were still at the computer, but i guess you weren't. but look, i'm online now as well! i won't be up at 7pm your time because that's like...4am over here, but maybe i can catch you during the day sometime. have fun tree shopping! i went to a very cool xmas market today and am about to post pics.

I was online, but I was at work. I'd finished all my duties and so was sitting there poking around my livejournal. Thought I would post. ^_^

Well, you know me: I'm up later than later (except for you, who was always up later ^_^). My night is your day. *laughs* Except tonight I will probably head to bed earlier than usual. We are planning to go up to Nevada City tomorrow and catch some of their Christmas stuffs.

the time difference btw here and CA simply sucks, which is why i said i'd hunt you down try to catch you sometime during the day. you'll have to tell me about those christmas stuffs--the name of the city obviously makes me think of vegas :).

Saw your pics. I would just LOVE to have a castle right in the middle of my hometown or my Christmas faire. That would rock so many times... *sigh*

Nevada City is actually a Gold Rush town in California, up near Grass Valley, Auburn and Truckee (other Gold Rush towns). Full of lots of older buildings, Christmas lights, arts and crafts and such and sundry, carolers, hilly streets, and a nice river running alongside. ^_^

isn't it awesome? a lot of the christmas markets in germany have picturesque settings because they take place in the old town square next to the town hall or church. the presence of history in the form of old buildings is def. one of the things i appreciate so much more about germany/europe now that i don't live here anymore.

Yeah, one of the best parts of my time in London was walking to anf from wherever, and rounding a corner, and coming face to face with something SOOOOOOO much older and huger than me. It was astounding. Breathtaking.
