Yup, Alcatraz prison. Only it's a preserve, so they will be dropping us in the water about 100 feet off the shore. We can't touch the island. *laughs* And then we swim back. ^_^

I'm not entirely sure where the proceeds go to. It's not for charity as far as I know. It's part of a group that organizes a lot of triathlons and other athletic challenges in the area, and all over California, apparently.
