I saw a lovely fanciful movie last night: Big Fish, directed by Tim Burton. Ah, he is the MASTER. I think the best combination in movies is this wonderful trio: Tim Burton directing, Danny Elfman doing the music, and Johnny Depp being someone out-there and otherworldly. *cough Edward Scissorhands Sleepy Hollow Ed Wood cough cough* I enjoyed Big Fish. It's a feel-good movie about fantasy and learning exactly when to let go of reality. Also about a man's relationship with his estranged son. Sadly, Johnny Depp was not in it, but Ewan McGregor was an absolute kick.
Sighhhhh... I do adore Tim Burton.
In other news... getting the sixth chapter of The Fourth Unforgivable together (brace yourselves... Voldemort is off to counseling), and I am working hard on Simply Charming ch5. Won't be too long now for either of them. When I post the new chapters of each, I'll link to the rest of each story as well. I've recently found the wherewithal to get going on these again, after a slew of one-shots, and have been spending time reacquainting myself with my laptop. One-shots will be up here as well, probably sooner than the chapters, but no worries.
Here's a fun little tidbit: I am currently attempting a Dean/Millicent story! Ought to be rather interesting. More as it develops.
Note to self: remember to EAT. I have been rather forgetful in that department lately, which is nice in some ways, because then I don't over-eat, BUT... not a good habit to get into.

Date: 2004-08-15 03:14 pm (UTC)From:The score for Batman (another Burton, Elfman masterpiece) is another one of my favorites.
There was a movie recently, that I saw Elfman did the score, and it knocked me outta my socks as it was a complete departure from what I was used to. If only I cold remember the name of the movie...
